I am indeed trying to delete my Twitter account, which I stopped using nearly 2 years ago and was not planning on using ever again.
We are not able to log in, as I do not have access to the mail linked to the account anymore. I however was obliged to link my account to a phone number (or else wouldn’t have been unable to use it) and do not understand why we can’t just receive a verification code by sms instead. This is nonsensical.
I have sent a help request to their staffers, which is not the nicest (full of big legal words and stuff), let’s see how it goes. I just do not comprehend why I cannot log into my account in order to delete it as it’s linked to a phone number as per Twitter request a few years ago and as verifying my identity would be super easy, if they allowed me to.
If I ever regain access to the account (which I consider is not really mine anymore, since I’m not able to log in) I will not tweet, retweet or like anything, and will immediately delete it, as I do not agree to their TOU and wish to be freed from them forever. Just like I haven’t been using their website for the past (nearly) 2 years. If anything, it’s none of my doing.
I should upload a (completely unrelated) video on Saturday, I need to edit it first.
